Aoife McArdle is a writer, director working across film, television, music videos and commercials, known for high-concept storytelling and visually inventive, rhythmic portraits of life. With a background in literature and a long-standing passion for documentary, she applies a photographic eye and an intimate aesthetic to detailed narratives and literary themes while maintaining a sense of spontaneity. McArdle has been awarded at the D&ADs, Cannes Lions, Ciclope, UKMVAs, British Arrows and Clios.
Her feature film debut, Kissing Candice was selected for numerous festivals including the Toronto Film Festival and Berlinale where it received acclaim for its darkly surreal, visual world and lead performances. McArdle is currently writing her next feature.
